Are the blender bottles worth it for Protein Shakes? I'm having my surgery on November 15th and I'm wondering if this would be worth it to buy.

I bought one for $20. Haven't used it for the shakes but it's coming in handy for weeks 2-3 for full liquids (I'm blending soups).

I have 4 of them and still use them! Totally worth it.

I bought two of them, one for home and then one for work. They work really well for getting the chunks out of Protein powder shakes, especially the thicker, stickier powders like casein.

I got mine at Walmart, love it...has the little metal, springy ball, does a good job mixing.

Just ordered mine on Amazon thanks everyone! Now onto the task of finding a Protein Shake I can tolerate that is not extremely expensive.

You bet they are! I have 2 of them. One trick I use for cleaning them is to fill it 1/2 way with Water and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds( good upper body workout too, kind of like the shake weight). Then I open top, dump and refill with Water letting it overflow for a few seconds. After dumping out the water, the blender cup is about 95% clean. At the end of the day, I end up putting them into the dishwasher to get them 100% clean.

Does anyone use a juicer? Wondering if I should get that too.

A juicer would be good if you literally want to dice, slice and juice up raw fruit and veggies. However, not necessary if you are mixing up Protein shakes, super/ green powder or some kind of powder that has been prepared commercially. A blender cup will suffice to mix it up and cheap.

A juicer literally just gets juice out of fruits or vegetable. I have a Ninja blender for chopping stuff up and it's great!

My mom gave me her Ninja. So you put your veggies in it? How does it taste? Any good recipes? I am on full liquids right now, so I am not sure if I am allowed to have that, but maybe when I move to soft food.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
