What a journey have I had. I was in the waiting room for my surgery. So while I was there I was having the poohs from the milk of magnesia. So as I was lying in bed I was squirming and thinking I was having a panic attack and started crying and telling my partner and his mom that I changed my mind that I didn't want it ! So I was like take me out I don't want this anymore! And then I was like let me to to the bathroom!!! So I end up going to the bathroom and I calmed down immensely. So then my parents come in and talked to me. So I ended up laying back down and bam I got the surgery. So the next two days were hell! Being awaken like fifteen times during the night and what not. I could not pass gas for the life of me! And it was painful! So finally I tooted twice today and was sent home. Went I got home my partner helped me undress for a shower and bam there's a huge bruise on my calf. So I called the hospital and they ask if I feel like crap and short of breath I say no I feel awesome. So it might of happened during the surgery?? So now I'm at home drinking Water every 15 mins plus walking for a min. It's tiring.

Omg I did the same exact thing. I was sleeved on 10/25 and when I was in preop I started crying

After the nurse or maybe a tech said you getting sleeved. So I starting crying and ask myself was I doing the right thing. Then I calm down and my doctor came in after my sister chatted with me and said you will be fine.

I hope and believe I made the right choice. I can't get enough fluids in. All the Protein or nasty maybe because it remind me of milk and Im lactose intolerance. Doctor said my tongue was white and I need to drink so other than that I will survive. I'm happy I went through with it but I just need liquids.

I was sleeved 10/31 and just got home today with the worst gas pains and I have this sore on my mouth that wasn't there before surgery...nurse says its a canker sore from stress but I don't think so. I'm going to try gas x and pray that helps with the pains. Cannot pass gas either and I've been walkin with no relief. I felt like I was making a mistake also but I believe we made the right choice. :)

I was sleeved 10/31 also. Today has been the first day that I haven't questioned if I did the right thing. I had terrible dry heaves. Still struggling to get enough liquids in but hope the worst is behind me. Keep your head up. Everyone keeps saying each day gets better and that's what I'm hanging on too.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
