IncredibleShrinkingViolet 22 Posted November 2, 2012 It looks like I will have to put off surgery for now, in order to save up paid leave time off. The good thing is that the insurance company has offered to put me on the fast-track for the surgery, due to some comorbitities, so I know when the time comes it won't be a problem getting the okay from them. I just had a total knee replacement and had to have a second procedure to get rid of scar tissue, fortunately able to borrow sick leave...which now has to be paid back, of course. Just grateful to have had it. It will be about 9 months before I have enough time built up to have the surgery (barring anything else coming up in the interim). This forum is much appreciated, and I am learning a lot!
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted November 2, 2012 must put off surgery, save up paid leave time off. incredible ShrinkingViolet what a great attitude you have having to delay your WLS for about 9 months - not complaining, even though you are probably disappointed what a mess about finances, sick leave , glad insurance will still be there for you hope you are recovering nicely from knee replacement take care next year you will be on your way to count down for the sleeve good luck

iegal 460 Posted November 3, 2012 ISV - nice to hear you are taking this slowly and know you will follow through later on. Think of how much you will know when your time comes around. Think of it like planning for a wedding. One month's notice is never enough but 9 months, how beautiful.
