Trishn 5 Posted November 2, 2012 I had my sleeve surgery on the 30th and got to come home yesterday. I am doing pretty good....still pretty sore & stiff but no real pain, but overall doing great. It is tough to try keeping track of everything I consume and do, but I just have to get used to it! My doctor makes all his patients take Lovenox (blood thinner) shots for 11 days after we come home to help reduce the risk of blood clots. Fair warning.....after my insurance paid their part, it still cost me more than $300 for only 11 injections! Dang!!! But when you gotta have it, you gotta have it! Good luck to everyone!! Trishn 5 Posted November 2, 2012 Thanks everyone for the well-wishes! The day of my surgery, I kind of felt like I had been hit by a Mack truck. I didn't really have any pain, but I was very sore and stiff. They make us get up and walk every 2 hours and that really helped me get through it. I didn't have to take too much pain medicine while I was in the hospital and haven't needed any at all since I've been home. I think that a big part of it is to keep moving!
