As a self pay MX patient I have no one to talk to about my progress but you guys. I'm going to list my stats and I would love to here from people with similar stats.

Surgery date 8/31

Start weight 196

Total loss 30

Today's date 165

Daily Protein 50-60

Daily calories 700-800

Stopped shakes Some Protein Bars

Also I am on my fitness pal kallison1

Not exercising :(

Starting to have trouble with snacking at night :(

I was sleeved in MX too, I'll play.

Surgery date: 10/6

Pre-op weight- 276

Weight on day of surgery: 261

Current weight: 241

Calories: 500

Still do 1 Protein Shake a day.

Exercise: walking til I'm cleared for more. I also work out my arms and legs using 5lbs.weights and body weight.

Surgery weight 186.4

Today 175.3

Doing a little walking.

Workouts: walking 3/5 Miles a day, bike riding, every other day slim in 6 , when the weather is bad for walking/bikeI do the elliptical trainer, soon adding kettle bell work outs. I try to get in 60 mins a day 7 days a week.

50/80 grams Protein

64oz fluids

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
