I've only lost 30 to date (almost 2 months out) but I was wondering why do you need this? How is your skin? Is it very saggy? Im trying to mentally prepare myself!

We really can't tell you what to get, it depends on what you need. Do you need implants or just a lift?

How much have you lost? Your WLS should be able to recommend someone.

Well I need a lift and implants but I've had a consult and he thinks I should actually go down to a c(I've always been a d or bigger). I would just like some other input on choices others have made concerning plastics. I just am chomping at the bit to get the tummy tuck!!!!

I think the lower lift v Tummy Tuck really does depend on what you need. I am planning on the tummy tuck next summer - but my friend who had bypass is getting the lower body lift. At my plastics consult I was told I can get the tt, breast lift/reduction, and Lipo (if needed) all at the same time. My friend who went to same plastic surgeon was told she would have two procedures because the time for the lower lift (for her) would be too long to add any additional procedure.

All of this will depend on your surgeon, what you need, and your health. I don't know any surgeons in your area. Good luck and keep us posted!

I had a lower body lift after i lost 50 pounds. I've also had 7 babies, and the apron was killing me. Best thing i ever did! I lost 2 pant sizes, just getting that nasty excess skin off my mid-section. My surgeon took off just over 6 pounds.

I am having the same surgeon do an augmentation for me at the end of the month. I'm going with silicon cohesive gel, somewhere between 350 and 425ccs, under the muscle. I have very, very scant breast tissue, and over the muscle or saline would be too obvious on me. However, i have a friend with saline unders that are gorgeous!

I couldn't get the lift at the same time as the augmentation because of the time it would require. My surgeon is meticulous, and doesn't like to have a patient under for 8 hours or more. As it was, there was a problem with the lymph nodes in my groin which required a partial dissection and biopsy while i was on the table, and i wound up being under anesthesia for 9.5 hours. I suspect that played a part in how rotten i felt for the entire first week.

I have been thrilled with my results, 9 months later still not used to the lack of belly. Bought my first bikini ever, and i am looking forward to having the augmentation as well.

There is a whole section on plastics on here. You may want to read under that section.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
