Rock that sleeve you go! Divorce can be tough. Been there done that. I wish you the best. You continue to take care of your self . Everything will be alright! Nice pics! Hopefully in a couple weeks I will hear from my surgeon about surgery date. I have completed all preoperative steps. Live your life to the fullest. God Bless

You look fabulous! And one thing I noticed is that you look much happier in your after shots - keep it up, take care of no 1. (YOU), and let him go. There are better things waiting for you :)

You look FANTASTIC!! Apparently he didn't understand the vow "for better or worse"....so let him have the worse (being stupid enough to cheat and lose you) and you keep the better (getting the attention you deserve from better guys than him)!!!

Enjoy! You're doing what's best for you....not only have you lost the weight with the sleeve so far, you've lost additional weight/baggage by letting him go.

Congrats!!!!

You look amazing!!! This is just the beginning. Just think of how much more you will have lost in 3 more months. I was sleeved in April and in July I saw a huge difference. Now 3 months later from July I'm a whole different person!

I guess what I am trying to Say is you look amazing now in 3 more months you will look even more amazing.

Do not give your soon to be ex private time. If he was cheating before he will cheat again. I know first hand how hard divorce is and how scary it seems to be alone.

Your depression will get better the more weight you lose. I am 6 months post op and I am off my depression meds! Once you get that self confidence you will shake the depression!

Once again you look amazing!! Keep it up! Hit the gym and eat that protein!!

God bless!

Katie

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
