Where Do You Want To Be 1 Year From Now?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone out there,/shared/images/smiley/msn/batlashes.gif

Stop and think where you could be 1 year from now. If you have been thinking about having weight loss surgery, I want you to know that a year from now you could be close to your goal or already achieved your goal. What an amazing feeling. I know it is hard to imagine being healthy, and thin and at your goal weight. It too me 14 months to lose 105 pounds./shared/images/smiley/msn/cool2.gif

The next thing I want you to know is that it is pretty easy to maintain your weight loss, and make it last for a life time. You have to be willing to work at this, because weight loss surgery is NOT your miracle cure, but it is your tool for YOU to use to achieve where you want to be. You can do it. It requires hard work and exercise on your part. /shared/images/smiley/msn/dance.gif

I am living proof of this. I had WLS 4 years ago, lost 105 pounds and have maintained my weight loss. I made a lifestyle change and it is easy and fun to follow. I was the person who HATED exercise. Now I get up and walk/shared/images/smiley/msn/party4.gif every morning 1st thing. I feel so much better and feel 20 years younger. My poor body does not hurt anymore, I am healthier and 90% of the medication I used to take, I no longer take. I know you are sitting there thinking, “I will be the 1 person that this will not work on.” I thought the very same thing, it does work, and it will work for you if you are willing to do what it takes to become successful.

I had sleeve surgery in Oct 2008 and Dr. Aceves was my doctor. I could go on and on about how fabulous and wonderful, and highly skilled he is. But there are thousands of his patients who will also tell you the same things that I can tell you./shared/images/smiley/msn/heart.gif

Please do NOT give up on yourself. /shared/images/smiley/msn/atwitsend.gif If you are reading this, you have been thinking about it for some time. Make the giant leap forward and go for it. If you have any questions, or need or want to talk, please contact me at:Suzannesh@aol.com

I am happy to answer any of your questions or concerns you might have. I know I had 100’s of questions and you should too. It is OK to have questions. This board is here to help you and support you./shared/images/smiley/msn/bighug.gif

Take care,

Suzanne

First, congrats on your fantastic life change! I can't wait to be able to tell people those kinds of stories. A year from now I want to be down at lease 100 lbs, and skydive. Also I want to zipline at some point in time and run (or jog) a 5k, like the Color Run. I want to look smoking hot on my wedding day ( I have been engaged to an awesome man for almost 4 years now). I also want to start a family two to three year from now, after finishing school and starting my career. So much I want to do, its so exciting!!

Thank you so much! I'm often scared I may be making a big mistake. I meet my surgeon tomorrow and I'm nervous. I'm going forward because I know its time to get a hold of my life. In a year from now I want to stop wearing black I want to look at my self in the mirror and love my self. I want to take a lot of pictures. I want to live with out tucking or hiding or simple Numbing myself from feeling anything. I want to live! Your words bring tears to my eyes tears of joy and hope. Thank you again!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
