Pinky Green 260 Posted October 31, 2012 I saw an ad on Facebook for Gummy Owls. They have no sugar and have yam Fiber and a little Protein and sugar alcohols. Check them out and see what you think? http://www.gummyowls.com
geno5150 168 Posted October 31, 2012 Personally, I gave up on candy substitutes all together. Not having any for the last four months has totally killed my desire to eat candy or chocolate. I figure using substitutes as a crutch would only keep that addiction going so it worked better for me to tough it out and break the habit cold turkey. 1 Getting There reacted to this
tjloser 62 Posted October 31, 2012 Reading over the information I personally wouldn't take it. My stomach is already small and makes it harder to get the Protein and Water in that I need, so if I take these it would be even harder to do so. It claims to makes you feel full longer which would work if I had a normal stomach but I need all the water I can get in at this point.
Pinky Green 260 Posted October 31, 2012 I have a friend at the office that has a vertical sleeve and the interesting thing is that she went in for a hernia repair and because it was so large the doctor actually did a sleeve and it's a good thing because she needed to lose weight anyway - but she didn't go to a nutritionist or have any counseling or anything on what she was supposed to eat and since she was eating Gummy bears the other day and says she wasn't going to give them up but she has quit losing weight and I told her a little about what our nutritionist had told us about getting enough Water and Protein and not eating sugar. I figured I'd tell her about these because at least they have no sugar and have Fiber and a little protein and if she was going to eat gummy bears anyway ... geno5150 168 Posted November 1, 2012 Well, they've got to be better than the real thing. I wouldn't fault a smoker for using those nicotene tubes when trying to quit so this probably isn't much different. It's intersesting to see the different little things that each of us get hung up on.
