Egd Timing Before Surgery?

So I was hoping for surgery end of Nov/early Dec. Just scheduled my EGD and the first date available is Nov. 13. On the hospital prep form it says to be sure and schedule your EGD at least 4-6 weeks prior to surgery?? Anybody have to wait that long? Or not, I hope?!

You shouldn't. My EGD was Oct30th and surgery is Nov 7th.

My egd is nov 6 and surgery is nov 26
