Get your mind out of the gutter.

How many chicken breasts is everyone able to eat in one setting? One? Two? More?

One of the fringe benefits for men. I do enjoy breasts, but not my own. The double standards we apply to ourselves...

After almost six months I can eat two ounces of cooked chicken breast (I think that is equivalent to around 3 1/3 raw in terms of figuring out calories/protein etc), with a few bites of veggies. That would be... breast.

chicken breast for some reason has always given me spasms when I try to swallow, before and after surgery. Same with white potatoes that are cooked but not mashed. Don't really know why.

So I don't eat it, although I do love it. Oh, well. But I can eat two chicken legs or thighs!

chicken salad made with the breast is about the only way I eat it. I am not a fan of breast (chicken or turkey), so I mostly have chicken thighs, drumsticks, or wings.

When you say "Breast or Breasts" you had to know you were bound to get the reaction (s) that you got. I was one of them. B) The things that make you go "Hmmm" :P

I am unable to eat chicken breast...no matter how I fix it. Every time I try a bite or two, I get spasms and it is not comfortable. However, I have been subsituting boneless, skinless chicken thighs for any recipe I have that calls for chicken breasts.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
