I believe they are the white creamy ones...or just check the ingredients if you are buying canned Soup.< /p>

I believe it is cream Soups, like cream of mushroom (probably have you strain the mushrooms out); cream of chicken (straining the chicken out), etc..

If you make it with milk it is :) They want to get Protein in you in any way possible.

I was offered Tomato Soup day two in the hospital from my second surgery (they normally offer it day two for the first surgeries they do as well). I'm surprised anyone wouldn't allow it because it has been on most diets I've seen for sleeve. But god only knows each doc has to tweek it :) Sometimes you just have to shake your head and go along for the ride!

No, it's Tomato based. Tomato soup has a lot of acid and can be tough for some sleeves to handle.

I ate Tomato Soup and I used milk to make it. I loved it and ate it often with no problems. It was ok for me to eat on full liquids.< /p>

I forgot to mention, it was specifically on the bariatric (sleeve) diet at the hospital on full liquids. that and potato Soup.< /p>

Frankly hospital made soup is total crap...and the Tomato was HORRIFIC but at home I make it quite often. I am a bit further than you are, but I like it over a scoop of cottage cheese :) Sounds odd, but try it LOL Umm when you are allowed heh heh

I've had Campbell's cheddar and broccoli w/skim milk, heating then strained (it's my favorite!) - a little gassy so I have a GasX first, but I've enjoyed the flavor of that Soup the most. Cream of chicken, celery, mushroom, golden mushroom (more flavorful than reg. mushroom), all taste pale in comparison! My taste buds are still weird since surgery, Water still tastes tinny!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
