Nurse Claudia 3 Posted October 28, 2012 I am post op day 5, I was sleeved October 23rd. I feel so hungry all the time!! The smell of food makes my stomach grumble!! What the heck is going on!? Anyone have the same issue?

Nurse Claudia 3 Posted October 28, 2012 I feel the exact same way. They just made fried chicken at my house. The entire house smells like it!! I'm sitting in my room with a Popsicle in one hand and an air freshened in the other. Needless to say there's a lot of pouting! :-/
mrsjones075 40 Posted October 28, 2012 I was sleeved the same day & I'm feeling exactly the same way! I have been craving a meatball of all things. I am not supposed to advance from Clear Liquids to full liquids until next Thurs, but I'm tempted to try some cream Soup or Greek yogurt or something that will stay with me a little longer than clears. I have been taking Protonix granules since I was discharged from the hospital, so I really don't think stomach acid is my problem.
Nurse Claudia 3 Posted October 28, 2012 The sad thing is that I'm already at full liquids. My doctor allows full liquids on day 3. But I still digest it quickly and I'm hungry!! It does hold you a little longer.
Before 50 20 Posted October 28, 2012 This is normal. I was the same way until I started eating pureed foods. I would go to bed at night hungry but it does get better. Stick with it because you don't want to cause any problems with your new stomach.....it will all be worth it in the weeks to come. 2 Butterthebean and Susie in Lima reacted to this
lisa2job 130 Posted October 28, 2012 I think its head hunger not real hunger. I had the same thing really wanted some food after surgery but I really was not hungry. once you get to have full liquids and soft foods its allot better and that feeling goes away. stay strong and hang in there . the first month is the worst 1 Butterthebean reacted to this
