mccara 1 Posted October 28, 2012 I was sleeved on the 25th as well. I use a heating pad to dissipate the gas. It really helps with the pressure and pain.

happytobehere 23 Posted October 28, 2012 I was sleeved on the 23rd and also stayed in the hospital for 2 days. I had bad nausea and couldn't get my fluids in. I also have the gas pains and walk alot. But each day it seems to get easier. I still struggle with getting all the Fluid in that I am supposed to but I do the best that I can and try to stay on a strict schedule that my nutritionist provided for me. I sometimes am not sure what I am feeling exactly, whether it's fullness, hunger, gas or what. I hear the rumbling in my stomach and not sure if it hunger or gas. I am hoping that once I get to the pureed stage, I will understand the different feelings. Best of luck to you and your journey.
texan@<3 11 Posted October 28, 2012 I was sleeved on the 23rd and last night/today was the first day I didn't have horrible gas pains in my shoulders. Friday I got a massage on the recommendation of a fellow sleever. I told the massage therapist what was going on & she focused on my shoulders & neck. I really think that's what helped me finally get rid of it. It was horrible! Worse than incision pain etc. As for the rumble down under...it could be gas stuck in your tummy. Or it could be stomach acid. Could also be hunger but as for me I haven't experienced hunger really. Mental hunger yes. But not physical. Did your doc prescribe you anything for acid? I talk protonix every day to help with this. He told me I have to take it for the first 30 days & after that we will play it by ear. You might check into this if you don't have something already. I also tried the gas x strips. Honestly...I couldn't tell that they made a huge difference for me. Good luck! Keep us posted!

JoJo1026 1 Posted November 2, 2012 I was sleeved on October 26th and I'm still having a lot of gas inside, especially underneath my left breast. Has anyone else had gas pains in the same area?
ReRe9119 0 Posted November 2, 2012 I was done on 10/25 and I still have to take Prevacid and gas x daily. So it not the hunger you feeling. We are still in the swelling phase where we have a lot of gas. The liquids is a struggle for me but I sign up for this challenge and with god help I will be successful. I was nervous in the beginning and hopefully I will be ready for work Tuesday, if not I I'll take another week off. Trying not to be lazy around the house I have no energy. But I wish everyone well while we start this new journey.
Ruffus 66 Posted November 3, 2012 I use beano meltaways. They are strawberry flavor and they work better than gas x for me! Or you can try liquid colic medicine for new borns... that is what my NUT said since gas x didn't work to well. Keep walking and it does get better! Protein shakes cause gas too...
