So pretty much have been cruising through this with losing about a pound to apound an half per day. Then wham for the last week not one ounce loss. I kept reading about stalls but figured it could not happen to me or at least for awhile. Still debating as to wether to change up some part of my eating habit ( 800-900 cals, 40 carbs, 30 fat, 100 Protein daily average amounts). Or should I just keep doing as this and wait it out?

I had a nurse tell me that when this happens to just keep doing what I am doing...and to remember that your body has been thru a traumatic experience and is reacting in a"wth" mode adjusting to all the new experiences it is having. I am 6 weeks out from surgery and yes I have experienced this...just be patient and stay on course.

I was the same way. I finally had my husband hide the scale and I am just weighing once a week. I like seeing more of a loss each time I step on it now:)

Last time I had a stall I lost nothing for 2 weeks and then lost 4 pounds overnight. go figure!

stalls suck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
