6 Weeks Out And Tolerating Less?

Recommended Posts

I'm six weeks and a few days out and it seems like the last week I've been tolerating less than I was in weeks four and five. For example tonight I had white bean chicken chili, had about 4-5 bites and was vomiting within 20 mins. Last night the same thing happened with a half dollar sized (spherical of course, not flat) turkey meatball. My pace hasn't increased, my volume hasn't increased, and these are things I was able to eat a week ago. I'm not sick with a bug or the flu because after I'm done "getting rid" of whatever I ate I'm fine, no fever or malise at all. I'm stumped. I'm chewing well, not drinking while I eat... I don't really get it. Has this happened to anyone else?

I am 6 weeks out as well and I have noticed a decrease in my intake but I have not had any vomiting. Hope you feel better soon.

Hello all I had surgery on 9/17/12 and I have experience the same thing. Everything was fine until Tuesday 10/23 and all if a sudden I start vomiting every hour. Call the my surgeon office and they had me come in on 10/24 and had an upper gi done again to see if I had a narrowing and sure enough I have a narrowing in my stomach. All I can get in my stomach is 2 oz of food. I will find out what they are going to do next Thursday. So I am back to soft puree food and if I have difficult with that I have to go all the way back to just liquids until I am seen again. I was at our phase 1 which was cheese, crackers, deli turkey meat, eggs, tuna and chicken salad, and watermelon, etc.

Ugh! I'm so sorry! I have an apt on the 5th. Hopefully it's nothing.
