lilac lass 34 Posted November 4, 2012 I got my surgery approved. Love the weird letter you get, yeah approved but not exactly saying they are paying for it guaranteed ( all insurance mumbo jumbo). Now I have my surgery date, Dec 6. I developed shingles and could have had a sooner date in Nov but had to take steroids for a bit. Well it will work out this way. I can get everything in place for the holidays and my surgery. Now I just need my cardiologist to send over that stress test to my surgeon. I signed off on that in July but some how it still hasn't been sent ( less than 5 miles).

I'm happy for you! I was expecting to have mine before the end of the year, but they couldn't get me in until January 14th. It isn't as soon as I would like, but I'm sure it will be here before I know it! Keep us posted on your progress:-) 1 dharriott reacted to this

submomma 5 Posted February 16, 2016 I am so confused. My doctor's assistant is insisting on 3 months supervised diet, but when I called BCBsTX they did not have a time frame requirement. The assistant's response was that she could try submitting now, but I could be denied. Then I started this with a BMI of 41 but after a month I am down to a 39 and afraid they won't approve me. So confused!! Any advice?
