iggychic 1,405 Posted October 25, 2012 its not really the best idea to focus on a goal for the first month, and even two for many. your body is healing and you shouldnt stress it with too much exercise, and your feeding program is pretty defined. i gained 40lbs 2 Prairiegirl and Butterthebean reacted to this
Butterthebean 8,146 Posted October 25, 2012 Just let it happen. If you hit the 3 week stall, it will only stress you out more. Just enjoy the process and let your body heal while you work on new healthy eating behaviors. 3 xmasbpig, Prairiegirl and doxieville reacted to this
COnative 192 Posted October 25, 2012 I lost 20lbs the first month and then stalled for almost 3 weeks. Which I am happy for because losing that much weight in one month kind of freaked me out. I think you set a realistic goal. Good Luck! And all the best!
Annie B 89 Posted October 25, 2012 Iggychic - are you saying you gained 40 pounds the first month after surgery?
gottaloozit 27 Posted October 25, 2012 I will be 2 weeks out tomorrow (10/25) and so far I've lost 14 pounds. Last night I weighed before I went to sleep, and when I woke up I had lost 1.6 lbs! Weird!
scorpion509 107 Posted October 25, 2012 I am slow looser. For the first month I lost 17 lbs. you can see it in my signature.

iggychic 1,405 Posted October 25, 2012 Iggychic - are you saying you gained 40 pounds the first month after surgery? ya pretty impressive isn't it? i had major complications needing two transfusions and lived on tpn and iv nutrition. its all gone (or mostly....i still have a bloated belly from the internal bleeding). sometimes goals are out of our hands...like the first month or two after surgery the best goal is to stick to program, get your Protein in and get your Water in. its harder than you might think!
