Fiddleman 4,376 Posted October 26, 2012 I bought black speedos. And they fit. The tubs of rubber mares stored under my bed came out. These mainly contained clothes from when I was a large shirt size and 36-38 pant size. It happens to be winter so I pulled out the smaller sweaters also. All "big and tall" clothes are going to value village. 1 shangefan reacted to this
brol1k 50 Posted October 26, 2012 I started at size 60 waist, went to a 48, 44, now 40 in 16 months... in Shirt from a 6Xl to a 2xl sometimes depending on the brand a 1xl and im at 310 lbs now highest being 565. I have spent in a year so far about $300-$400 in clothing. I finally out shrunk casual male which was the reason I spent so much being their clothing are so expensive. My primary place to shop now is Jcpenny, I get my jeans at the Levis isle and shirts all around the store depending on the style...Not one to be picky about name brands, if I like the way it fits, Ill buy it, thank god I do take a female with me to give me the thumbs up or down hahaha 1 Need-a-Sleeve reacted to this

Donny 270 Posted October 26, 2012 All through high school and college I bought nicer designer stuff but out grew it quickly but never had the heart to throw it away. The last 3 years I have been thrifty about all my purchases and I am looking forward to shrinking back into the designer stuff! I went through totes yesterday and found 4 pairs of Lucky Brand jeans with the tags still on them! I found jeans ranging from 48-38 and shirts from 3xl to xl so I am hoping I can carry myself awhile on my old (barely worn) stuff
shangefan 193 Posted October 26, 2012 Like lots of folks, I had barrells of clothes from over the years. In fact, I had lots of shirts and slacks with the tags still on. It has been great to get back into those clothes. The big challenge for me has been suits. I just didn't have any smaller ones and my experience has been that it is impossible to tailor them well. I tried that years ago and never liked the way the suits fit afterward. So I have bought a few suits at Burlington, which has good designers but maybe a couple of seasons old. I looked at suits yesterday at Jos A. Banks, which is having a 70 percent off sale (although I am confused that they always seem to have a big sale), but I don't know if I want to buy a suit because I don't want to have a lot of stuff that will get to be too big quickly. BUT...regarding the stuff that I already had, that stuff is getting to be too big. 1 Need-a-Sleeve reacted to this
