Veggestyle 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Hello All! I had a pretty emotional conversation with my boyfriend this morning about the surgery. He is very worried about me having a surgery and something going wrong, he is also supportive (really the one who is very close to me who is supportive), but I think is having difficulty with the idea of me going under the knife. I have tried to encourage him (and myself) does anyone have any words of wisdom that I should share with him? :thankyou:
DaniKLargo 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Hi everyone - I just wanted to wish everyone the best. I'm so excited, and I'm reading all your posts eagerly. I especially appreciate those who post after banding. My thoughts are with you all.

I was banded last Thursday, and I was afraid on the way to the hospital, but I was fine once I got there. For him, he won't be able to breath a sigh of relief until you're out of surgery, but trust me, you'll be surprised at how simple this surgery is. Please don't worry. It will all be fine. prbrooksie 1 Posted November 7, 2006 Hi...everyone! I am still having pain today, but I am at work. I started taking extra strength Tylenol (liquid) instead of children's liquid. It works better. I called the doctors office and talk to the nurse today. She said everything I am feeling is normal. My lower abdomen is swollen and my left side hurts when I walk or breath. All normal. She did suggest I go ahead and eat some cottage cheese...and...oh my god did it taste good. However, I got the hiccups and some of it came up. THERE'S YOUR SIGN!
