It seems like time goes by slowly when you start the WLS journey but as the day draws near, time flies! Once you get to 'my surgery is a week from today!' you'll really have anxiety! Just keep reading positive posts and check out Utube videos, VSG success stories or post-op xx weeks-they help replace fearful thoughts with exciting thoughts about yourself, your body and your future! And as Holly above mentioned you have us all here for support if you need it as well as prayers. Have you started your pre-op diet yet, or did you have one? I guess I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Being a nurse I guess I have a different insight about my hospital stay. I know that things sometimes go wrong and I don't want to be a statistic. I have requested a certain anesthesiologist for my care, I have done my research on my surgeon. What I can't control is the nursing staff and my outcome. I guess that's what I'm nervous about. I'm also concerned about the pain aspect, the catheter, and my recovery time. What I am excited about is starting this new path to being healthy and more active.
