SoonToBeThinKAT 67 Posted October 22, 2012 I am almost 1 month and a week out and still constantly nauseous. I can't take it anymore. Anything I put in my mouth causes my stomach to churn. I am on motion sickness patch and ativan for nausea and no luck:( hopefully it ends soon
kparker0501 88 Posted October 22, 2012 I am 1 moth out too. I puke up pretty much everything. I dont see how I can get in many calories. I can not even keep an actual food journal. I only have nausea when I eat and feel like my stomach is constantly growling. Hoping for answers soon. 1 Sharon's last chance reacted to this

3325MARION 7 Posted October 22, 2012 I understand how horrible that feels. Don't give up. I finally had to use suppositories. Not pleasant to administer but they did the trick. I am now three months out and use one or two a day. My doctor told me that nausea is the most common complaint. When something didn't work he responded by trying something else. Please call your dr. Feeling that way day after day is so discouraging. Not getting your fluids or Protein in is DANGEROUS. You don't want to end up in the hospital. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had such a compassionate dr. Keep trying for a solution.

shellbell125 41 Posted October 23, 2012 I hope you all feel better soon. I am now completely terrified. Nausea and vomiting were the main reasons I fear the surgery.

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted October 23, 2012 There are many other anti nausea medications that work well. Ask your doctor to switch your medication. Other than that, it's important to sip liquids like G2 or poweraide, which has the electrolytes in it. You don't want to become dehydrated, because that causes nausea too. Keep sipping whatever you can manage.
ppatterson 24 Posted October 23, 2012 Zofran is my best friend. My surgeon gave it to me after surgery and my PCP has refilled it for me. I keep it in my purse because you never know when it will hit. It works wonders and doesn't make you tired
suegirl 109 Posted October 23, 2012 Ask your doctor to prescribe you some Nexium... it helps
