Finally! The Stall Is Over And The Scale Is Moving! Whew!

Recommended Posts

I am so relieved after a 3 week stall the scale is finally moving. A little over 5 weeks out and I am now down 40 pounds... I still have A LONG ways to go, but after having a stall for 3 weeks and gaining a pound I was stressing out. I did have to see my Dr. Friday and they had to give me Water pills for the swelling in my ankles, but since I started taking them the scale is moving again. Thankfully. I did not want to go in for my 2nd month follow up and have gained weight.

Stalls are frustrating and I know they are part of the process. Patience is very much needed during them. After talking with my nurse and getting some answers I felt a lot better. Sometimes I think the stress we put on ourselves during a stall can cause us to stall longer.... I hope that makes sense :)

So I just had to share my excitement and for others that are going through it, you will get out of that first stall, even though at the time it seems like it may be never ending! Whew.. what a relief :)

Also, today a few people at work have told me it looks like I am losing weight, only one of the people who said something to me knew I had surgery. So that made me feel good as well :)

What a good start to a Monday!!

Thanks for posting- I was going through a stall at the same time- they are tough and it is hard not to doubt having the surgery. I can't wait to get to the 40 pound mark. Great job!!!

Oh my gosh thank you for posting this! I am on my second week for this stall and I am going crazy. I cannot seem to break myself of weighing everyday and it gets frustrating! It even went up 2 lbs at one point!! I start thinking that maybe this is not going to work for me and I will fail like the countless other diets I have done. It feels good to know others are going thru this too and that it will eventually end. So glad I can come on here and feel better! Thanks and good luck to you!!

I felt just as you were thinking I was the .0001% or whatever the number may be that it isn't going to work. I had no patience and was on the scale everyday sometimes multiple times a day. I now have told myself only weight on Fridays. This way if I fluctuate during the week I may not see it as much. You will be out of the stall before you know it and screaming with joy when that scale starts to move again. Hang in there it will happen for you :)

Thank you :) Stalls are tough, but I just have to remember that I will get through it.. even though it seems at the time I won't. It plays with your emotions that is for sure!

Well you could stall at week three and it could last for 3 weeks. Mine lasted for 10 days and started at week 3.

Stalls can happen at any time and last for any amount of time. Mine happened at week 3 and lasted 3 weeks.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
