Bad Multivitamin!

Recommended Posts

This is the first time I've heard something positive about the BA vanilla Vitamins.

I bought cinnamon ones. I made my son try them. He said it was fine as a lozenge but really gross when he chewed it.

I requested samples and they sent a bunch, but I got them right before my two week cut off for Vitamins, so I have only tasted one (vanilla). I didn't like it. I think it won't be difficult to take Flinstones since they taste good.

I know some of you have said the taste of some of the BA chewables is bad, however, I take two chewable Multi Vitamins with the chewable Iron that has kind of a sweet tart taste and chew all three together and you can only taste the iron one that way.

My boyfriend bought Adult complete gummies from Sam's club. The name eludes me right now but my nutritionist approved them. I have many defiencies in Iron, B12, Vitamin D (thank you Michigan) but I have bought Vitamins that are super small and I've never had a problem with popping pills even now after surgery.

I like the optisource chewables. They taste pretty good, but you have to take them 4x daily.

I ordered some opurity from the website where you can buy powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. I don't remember what I paid for them but they are the worst torture ever. I keep trying to force myself to take them since I paid for them and I don't want to waste money.

I bought the Opurity too... Not only do they taste AWFUL, but they are huge... I kept feeling like I was gonna puke when I took them... I too have switched to Flintstone complete chewables...they are 1/3 the size and taste ok... The Opurity were expensive, but I just consider it a loss... I refuse to take them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
