lizv123 389 Posted October 29, 2012 Try mixing in sf cheesecake pudding into plain greek yogurt. It's delicious. You can experiment on how much pudding mix you need to add in. Do you add pudding powdered mix, or prepared pudding?
SleeveDreamer 383 Posted October 29, 2012 for some reason i wasn't much of a Greek yogurt person either, it tasted like it was expired yogurt or sour cream, That was until i tried the Fit and light vanilla flavored one (i believe its danon) it comes in a purple container and came highly recommended from my nutritionist. I see that some others have recommended it as well so hopefully that means i dont have some crazy taste buds... But yeah, try the danon one, mixed with some Protein powder and enjoy... i use the Danon Fit and Light in the purple too, but it is not Greek yogurt.
FDclerical 318 Posted October 29, 2012 ooo i love greek yogurt, my surgeons nurse suggested mixing the plain vanilla with crystal light. i eat 8oz at a time (on the pre op diet) im allowed it once a day so that has helped as well 1 NewBeginningsForMe2012 reacted to this
AaronRene14 18 Posted October 29, 2012 Just a quick note on calories, and how i think of them... Some peeps seem to be very worried about calories, and sure most flavored yougerts have more calories, but i tend to think of calories like a money/bank thing... just because i only make so much money every paycheck, dosen't mean i cant buy a new tv or fridge or something... you dont have to eat all your cal's in one day... skim a few every day then then you can splurge a little more on something you may have been craving. sure you may eat a few more cals that one day, but you've been cutting down everyday to be able to do such. not sure if it'll help anyone, but i sometimes think that we give calories an expiration date, if we don't eat ALL our allotted calories that day then poof they are gone, and its not really always like that. AaronRene14 18 Posted October 29, 2012 i use the Danon Fit and Light in the purple too, but it is not Greek yogurt. this is the one im eating... not sure if its the same, but it does say greek on it, and it smells like sour cream (but tastes great)... lol
SleeveDreamer 383 Posted October 29, 2012 Oh that's not the same . I eat the light and fit in purple but it is not greek. Maybe will try this one. I don't really care about the Protein in it since I go way over anyway. Thanks for telling me about this one!

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted October 29, 2012 There's a lot of things you can add to plain Greek yogurt, to keep the calories and carbs down . The calories and carbs are high in the flavored ones, but you can add stuff to the plain to make it taste good. I like to mix in Raspberry sugar free jam. Another favorite is a packet of splenda and coconut Toraini sf Syrup.< /p> I buy frozen blueberries and add them with splenda. It does add carbs, but then again, I like to have some Fiber in my diet, and blue berries are really good for you too. I've heard of adding powdered sf Jello and some cool whip, or crystal light packets and a little cool whip. The sf cheesecake pudding mix is good too. Sometimes I will add some Torani syrup to that too. Greek yogurt is a healthy snack, so I don't feel bad if I add a few healthy carbs. At least I am getting Protein too, instead of some junk food I sometimes end up having.
