ljperez 87 Posted October 21, 2012 When did you start getting rid of your clothes? Sleeved 9/5 down 2 sizes but still afraid of letting go. Thinking about all the times I failed and want to hold on just in case. 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted October 21, 2012 I have so been there and done that..... It took me a long time to get rid of my clothes and one day, I just decided to do it. I love how spacey my closet is now..... I actually have a lot of room.... Also only buy clothes that I really love.......
abetterme4.2 268 Posted October 21, 2012 I know, right? How many times have I successfully lost the weight and put it right back on and then some? But then...all those fat clothes bore me! Get rid of them! Donate them, sell them, whatever you choose. Use it as even more determination to not gain any weight so you don't have to buy more clothes. Being overweight gets expensive. You got this!
beefalogal 43 Posted October 21, 2012 Immediately. If it was too big it went straight to the Goodwill pile. I did not find any 16s pants in my closet. I must have gotten rid of them in a mad fit some time back. Have a dozen size 14 pants but they are still a little tight. Hope I pass through the 16s fast! 1 kmwheel reacted to this
Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted October 21, 2012 I too am down 2 sizes and have taken my clothes to a consignment shop. You are never going to be that size again so why keep those clothes!! Don't keep the clothes, they will only clutter up your life.
lsereno 2,525 Posted October 21, 2012 When I noticed clothes got to big, I moved them to a bag. When I got a bag or so, I took them to a charity. I took a lot to my face-to-face support group. Lynda
geno5150 168 Posted October 21, 2012 Actually, you may want to keep one set for the before and after picture once you succeed in hitting your goal. And you will succeed. Burn the rest of them. 1 VSGJean reacted to this
