its that time of year again. ghosts and goblins, and candy junkies

my neighborhood has plenty of kids - i have to buy lots of candy

i searched high and low but................i finally found some candy i don't like. i bought these big bags of "smarties" and special type of lollipops. i am "safe" cuz i don't like them!!!

i was wondering around the section of candies at Walmart - baby ruths, milk duds, clark bars, reeses Peanut Butter cups, snickers, tootsie pops, tootsie rolls kit kats, mounds, m&m's, mars bars, rollo's, hershey bars, and who can forget BUTTERFINGERS, (I know i can't!!)

OH NO, all this candy talk

i think i'm having an orgasm!!!

Oh yesterday at work the ladies had 4 different boxes of chocolate and candy on the back counter. It was torture! I was doing great at home because I didn't have all these temptations! Oh well we will make it

I did the same thing. I bought candy I don't like that way I won't be tempted. I like all the chocolatey, peanut buttery crap. I bought fruity stuff to hand out, kids aren't picky.

I'm with you Ms. Skinniness. My number one strategy is to not have stuff in the house. So I will buy the candy the day before Halloween and do my best to make sure the candy bowl is nearly empty at the end of the evening.

I am at goal, so I do intend to enjoy some candy on Halloween. But not all day for weeks before and weeks after like I did pre-op.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
