busymommy 12 Posted October 21, 2012 I am a paramedic/firefighter and I was wondering how soon after getting sleeved I could begin to lift heavy objects? It's nothing for me to lift over 200lbs with a partner.
tynx 0 Posted October 21, 2012 I was told no lifting over 20lbs for at least 3 wks but I'm in Australia so might be different trends in different countries
Katnroyal 225 Posted October 21, 2012 I was told nothing over 30 lbs for 4 weeks.
Lloydthumper 70 Posted October 21, 2012 Lol I was told nothing over 15lbs for six weeks to make sure the staple line was healed good. I'm 4 weeks now and my incisions are still healing (almost done) so I'm assuming the staple line is still healing the last thing you want is to rupture anything.
