Anyone know where I can get a good chewable Vitamin C? I went to look for one today at target and all of them had sugar as first ingredient. I could not find any sugar free brands.

I can guess why they all have sugar as the first ingredient! I take 1000 mg. daily in caplet form and when that baby touches my tongue...SOUR!! Not sure where you are in your journey (I'm pre-sleeve) but could you take a regular pill with some food? That's what I'm hoping to do as when I take it on an empty stomach it kills me.

Thanks, but I don't need any more reasons to throw up. The Multi-Vitamin by Celebrate caused me to be sick for 20 minutes this morning, losing all other Vitamins and my Breakfast. I really do need to find a multi that can stay down, even when mixed with other supplements like b50 and B12. I am almost 4 months out.

I had major probs with those Vitamins too. I switched to GNC's women's formula Vitamin and am doing well now. It's just a regular Vitamin. Saved me tho.

Thanks, I will switch to GNC mens formula and see if that helps. I used to take them in my earlier life pre- sleeve. My only concern is that they are not complete enough for sleevers. Do we need to take 2 doses, perhaps 1 in morning and 1 in evening?

I don't think so. I looked at the levels and they were comparable to BA and Celebrate. The daily dosage for the women's is two tablets per day anyway tho,but I don't think that taking four would be wise. Just my opinion tho. ;)

I just bought a product from trader joes called "vitamin c crystals." The claim is faster absorption because no fillers in crystal form. The dose is 1/4 teaspoon and can be added to Water or a juice. It tastes like lemon honey to me. It is 5 calories a serving and provides 1000 mg. they recommend taking it before and after a meal, but that applis to non sleevers so do abide by the standard 30 minute buffers around eating. You might try it as an alternative to sugar tablets or big horse c pills.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
