Some Features Of Forum Not Working Or Not Available Anymore? Why?

Recommended Posts

1) When I make a post I just get a plain box now. No choice for font, text color, emoticons, etc.

2) On my notification list I used to be able to check the box at the top right and it would check all the boxes next to my notifications. It doesn't do that now.

3)In a topic I can't see who is following the topic. I used to be able to see that.

These are a few of the problems there are a couple more. They all started yesterday or day before. I even rebooted the computer to see if that helped. It didn't.

Aynone else having these same issues? Open to any and all suggestions to get things working right.

Thanks.

I'm on a new iPad. PMs and posts both have a send button, but it only works if I quote someone (obviously that does not work with the PM's). I just tried again...same problem in this post.

This is a small bug with our latest app and we're working on resolving. All you need to do is press RETURN key after the text you type and the send button will light up once the return key is clicked.

Hi Alex,

I cannot use the nifty stuff at the top of the reply box, no smilies, bold, ect. It is greyed out. When I roll over the stuff it gets darker but clicking on them will do nothing. Internet Explorer 9. It worked fine a few days ago. I tried to find something that might have changed on my part in internet options but no dice.

Any advise?

P.S.

Well, it must be an IE9 thang. I am posting this line with firefox. -_-

P.P.S.

Alex, this is a common problem with IE9 apparently. It may have to do with a java script update that IE9 made that left forums in the cold. Check out this thread about 7 - 9 posts down:

Have you tried running our site in Compatibility Mode ? Lemme know if that works please.

No luck, Alex.

From Microsoft:

(If a website doesn't display correctly in Internet Explorer, using Compatibility View might help. If Internet Explorer recognizes a website that isn't compatible, you'll see the Compatibility View icon on the address bar. To turn Compatibility View on, click the Compatibility View button to the make the icon change from an outline to a solid color.)

There was no icon. I went to Tools-Compatibility settings and added the forum to the list to be viewed in Compatibility View . No change, the stuff is still greyed out and doesn't work.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
