Hi!

I freeze just about anything. I have a husband that does not eat left overs. I made him single portion meat loaves and they work great. Pasta, chicken dishes, morning sandwiches and more. Emily bites i made some and froze them, but I don't recall which ones, had no problems. If you are unsure freeze a small batch (or a single serve) and see. I have never really had anything that didn't work. Even whole wheat pasta did good.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Sannah

This is going to sound really lame how do you freeze that kind of stuff? In dishes in a normal freezer or drop freezer in plastic tupperware things? I have never done the freezer thing with leftovers.

I freeze just about everything as well. I live alone so I have leftovers on a regular basis. It's actually very nice to be able to pull tomorrow's lunch out of the freezer and put in the fridge at night and by lunch the next day it is thawed out. When I was first post op, I froze portions in ice cube trays and then moved to plastic bags. Perfect size control. Now that I can eat approximately 1/2 cup, I tend to freeze in containers.

Experiment on what tastes good after being frozen and what doesn't work for you.

It's not lame!! I had tons of questions when I started too. I have froze in all of the above. I have a chest freezer in the garage. So what I do is decide how long it will be in the freezer and then determine what to put it in. So the small meatloaves for example will be eaten in a months time. So I cook them, cool them and place is a sandwich bag. If I make a big meal I freeze it in our storage containers, the lids are real tight so they last longer. I have used ziplock freezer bags, storage containers plastic and glass. Sometime in plastic wrap, tin foil or the alike and the the freezer bag.

I also make low sugar freezer jam every summer in Tupperware and those last a year. The freezer is real helpful!!

I made the spaghetti muffins and froze those. Tons of great things we can do!! At first I felt weird and then I realized manufactured make tons of frozen meals. I made and froze a lentil and rice dish. It went nicely!!!

I hope you have fun! :)

Best,

Sannah

Nice!! I freeze baby food in The Perfect Cube trays. Each cube is an ounce. One serving for the baby. I like your idea for us adults!! :) freezer saves us from so much waste!! Gotta love it!!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
