cmartin15 3 Posted October 18, 2012 I was just diagnosed with a ventral hernia in my upper left abdominal wall. I am scheduled for surgery Oct 25. Anyone have this? Will it make recovery longer?
sarsar 824 Posted October 18, 2012 Very normal, I had this too and didn't know until after I had surgery and the doctor told me he repaired it. My recovery was quick so this didn't have any impact on recovery.
chunkychick 54 Posted October 19, 2012 I had a hernia but it was a hiatal hernia and Dr repaired it when he sleeved me. I am a week out and doing pretty well. 1 Cresteds Mom reacted to this
thehappycat 91 Posted October 19, 2012 Same with me. I had a hernia and didn't even know. When I woke up in the recovery room a nurse was telling someone I had hernia repair and for a second I thought they gave me the wrong surgery! But the fixed hernia didn't make my recovery any more difficult.
