PetraLuxor 83 Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks for the welcome!! I had my surgery at Emory, if anyone has any questions I'll try and answer. Welcome! I would have loved to have had my surgery at Emory. I live right around the corner from the hospital. My insurance didn't cover WLS so I had to hike it to Mexico. How are you doing?
PetraLuxor 83 Posted March 4, 2013 beauty - I wish I would lose 30 lbs a month.... my experience says differently. I lost about 20 the first month - and I'm approaching the end of my 2nd month and I have been extremely faithful to the program AND have kicked up my exercise dramatically and have lost 12 lbs so far (with about 5 days to go).... I have also seen others posts and the weight slows down - sort of like slow and steady. My first post op appt. my doc said the first 1/2 of the weight loss (in my case 50 lbs) is from the surgery alone, the last half is from what I do for myself (eating and exercising right). Let me know how the trend continues for you... I guess everyone is different, so I wish you a safe and speedy loss :-) Looks like we are similar in our weight and loss. How tall are you? Tomorrow is my big weigh in for my 2 month post-op - we'll see
