CCCross 31 Posted October 18, 2012 2 of mine were kinda gooey, so I went to my PCP. She said the biggest signs are redness around the incisions, the skin would feel warmer and the area would he harder than the other incisions. If you push on the area around it, pus will come out. I couldn't get mine to scab up but then found out I was taking too long of a shower and the small scab kept getting weaker. She did give me antibiotics if its not better by Friday... ready2bskinny 31 Posted October 18, 2012 That's how mine is and I actually did take a little longer shower last night too do you think if I keep taking my antibiotics it'll go away? I know you're not a Dr but any advice is helpful before I go in. Sent from my ADR6400L using VST

You can describe to them what's going on and let the surgeon or nurse tell you the best course of action. Not trying to scare you but infections can be fatal if left untreated, especially right after surgery because your body has been traumatized and is still healing. Please call your surgeons office. The only exception is if you get sick from the antibiotic or have an allergic reaction, in which case you should call your prescribing doctor. Hear the recurring theme "CALL YOUR DR", lol

Readytolose2012 88 Posted October 18, 2012 I to had a incision infection, I was self pay in mx. I emailed my dr a picture and he told me to go to my pcp. I did so the next day. I was still on the antibiotic given to me at discharge but my pcp put me on bactrim ( yuck). It got better but it is way behind the others in healing. Also, I gave had stitches pop out twice since surgery and that's what is keeping it aggravated. Go get it checked out, better safe than sorry.
