jaime1190 7 Posted October 17, 2012 I am 34 years old, and have been over weight my whole life. I am so ready for this wonderful change. I just had my first meeting and my couciling meeting. Pookeyism 1,143 Posted October 17, 2012 Yes, nothing we face on a day to day basis compares to what we dealt with then, or would have dealt with if we had continued. I was facing limited mobility - I could do alot "for my size" but as I got older I could feel it. Type 2 diabetic - now in remission for 7months (a1c less than 5 each time). Asthma - not nearly as bad. Inevitable knee replacement surgery (I had a flesh eating bacteria in my knee about 16 years ago and it ate the middle of my kneecap) - not so inevitable anymore.
