Anyone Have A Problem W Potassium Levels While On 2 Week Protein Fast?

My potassium is always low due to an RX for HBP. I take a supplement, but now on this Liquid Protein fast the levels have dropped so much that it could compromise my surgery date! I have been told to increase my supplements - I am waiting to see if my surgery scheduled for Monday gets the green light.

Talk to you your primary, I stopped by HBP medication when I started my 2 week pre op, and checked regularly it stayed down with the diet I was on and it helped my potassium levels.

Yes, I was on Losartan/HCTZ and my potassium dropped so drastically that I ended up in the hospital for 4 days because of it. I just got home on Sunday night. I no longer take my BP med but take potassium pills. Please make sure you talk to your PCP and your surgeon. I hope all goes well. Oh I am 1 month and 1 week post op.
