I am curious and a little worried at the same time. I was sleeved on 8/14 and to date I've lost 25 lbs. I know everyone is different, but I feel my weight loss has been slow going in comparison to other people on this forum. When I started this weight loss process, I weighed 224 and now 199. Am I going to be a slow loser or am I doing something wrong? I don't want to waste my honeymoon stage. . Down and depressed.

Yes, you are going to be a slow loser. You were only 224 when you started.

How tall are you? Remember those who have less to lose will lose slower.

Man! I just posted the same thing! I am going crazy! I have plateaued for 2 and a 1/2 weeks now!!! I think we need to stay positive because there is no way we can't lose weight- I mean we definitely can't eat as much as we used to. Hang in there! And I'll try to hang in there too- but it definitely is hard sometimes. Sheesh!

I'm 5'4

At 5'4" 145lbs = 24.9BMI = "normal"

This means you started with 79lbs of excess body weight. You've lost 25lbs. This means you have already lost over 30% of your excess body weight.

It's true CO, it's easier said than done. You'd think with a smaller belly, our weight loss would be greater, but nope not the case with me! Oh we'll patience was never a virtue for me!

What a great way to think like that. Doesn't seem like I've lost 30%.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
