Chills562 12 Posted October 16, 2012 Scary! I am taking in enough fluids, working on protien intake. I don't ave any problems sipping up to 4 oz. In 15 minutes. I heard this is common. So why?.? And when should I see more loss? Sorry, having a freaking out moment that I am the "exception" to the rule...
cosmo95 1 Posted October 17, 2012 This sounds like my story! I was sleeved a week ago also (10/9) and I feel like the 6 pounds lost is ridiculous! Seems like it should be more. But then again 6 is a great number to lose in 7 days. I don't know why either. Hopefully at least you know you're not alone. Good luck to us both

tamjo37 37 Posted October 17, 2012 I only lost 5 pounds my first week! Don't worry it will come off! I'm at 6 weeks and have lost 24 pounds, slower than I thought I would be but I'll take it... 1 Chills562 reacted to this

iggychic 1,405 Posted October 17, 2012 How long were you in the hospital? I was in 4 days and weighed more when I came home then I did the day I went for surgery because of all of the IV fluids. It does come off' date=' don't worry![/quote'] I gained 40lbs not eating anything for 45 days. IV etc fluids and swelling cause weight gain. It's not real and for most it sticks around a bit the first week. For some longer even. You are also working on gettting your liquids and Protein up to speed. While you do, you body is popping into starvation mode and holding onto it's resources. Next week will be a lot more fun on the scale
Bella86 82 Posted October 18, 2012 Good to hear, I just got home and am still the same weight I was day of surgery despite eating nothing for 4 days! I'm not stressed about it just thought it odd lol
Chills562 12 Posted October 19, 2012 Good luck to you Bella. I know the pounds will come off eventually. I go back to work next week and have been trying on my work clothes. Pants are very loose since I started this liquid diet almost 4 weeks ago, but the tops now fit the way they should. I guess I was wearing my clothes super tight!
