Hi everyone .... I am 3 weeks out... I want to go back to working out lightly like Zumba class. I feel good and realize I have to go easy.

When did you start going back to exercising.

Thanks for any answers you could give me (:

To go back to something like Zumba I was about six weeks out... At three weeks I was doing about ten minutes on the elliptical and speed walking around the block.

You can start an easy program, such as walking as soon as you feel up to it. Strenuous exercises, like weight lifting, should wait six weeks. Maybe, the Zumba fans on here can offer their opinions?

I went back to Zumba at either 3 or 4 weeks out, but skipped the gyrating lol. I didn't move as I normally would....kinda eased back into it.

Wow dacing that way is too early at four weeks I was walking on the treadmill for an hour then at sixth week I started the elliptical so that increased to 2 hours a day. When I felt I could move around more I started zumba that was about at 8 weeks. So I started to alternate between treadmill and zumba or elliptical and zumba or treadmill and elliptical. Started at 299.8 and Im currently at 190 lbs at 9 months op
