A Little Embarrasing...implant - What Size?

Recommended Posts

Good morning all,

I am heading out in less then a month to have my plastics done. Could someone help me with breast size? Everything I have read said that 70% of people that get implants wish they would have gone larger. So if I decide on a size I like..am i supposed to go up a size or two?

Also for anyone that had surgery in Mexico - Since we do not go for a consult until the day before, Do they let you "play" with the implants for a while to pick your size?

Thanks all!

Not being sleeved yet, I probably am the wrong person to answer but I personally like bigger breasts. I am a 44D pre-sleeve and wish I was a DD. Post surgery, I would go for a D cup because in high school, I was a C and it was too small for my liking.

I have always been large! Pre-sleeve I was a 42DD. In high school a full C. I am now wearing a B when it really could be smaller but refused to buy an A cup! lol

As a guy I'll tell you it's all about shape. Size is nice but comes in a distant 2nd place. I'd much rather play with some nice firm C cups than less than perky DD.

Wow a size 2-4? A size D cup would probably look porn-starish.. LOL

Perky C's sounds good and more in line with your new size.

And yes, bigger is definitely not always better.. We are all on here because of that..lol :)

Ten years ago when I was a size 2/4 I had smaller boobs than I do now...36DD. (that was my size at normal weight) Let me tell you, I hate my boobs...though they do dress up nicely :P I would kill for...or pay for if I were you, some nice perky C cups. You get boobs any bigger and they are the first thing that people look at. And while I typically didn't and dont look like a porn star :) I was limited to what I could wear. Anything low cut looks sleezy. Cross front tops and dresses dip way too low and look sleezy. Everything shows cleavage! Short of running around in a turtle neck it's tough to not have the girls be noticed before people look at your face. You can never run again...you'll knock yourself out, and it does make you unbalanced looking in many styles. Unfitted and you appear fat, fitted and you're all boob....

So, I vote C :) If I were going to have elective surgery ever again I'd go with a C myself. I'm 5 tall by the way. Red hair and boobs :P which is why my husband noticed me LOL But still...I'd let them go in a heart beat!

Remember that a cup size is just the inch difference between the measurement of your band and the fullest part of the breast! So a D cup on a smaller person is still the same four inch difference as it would be on a larger person.

I plan to have plastics once I'm done with this pregnancy and back at goal weight. I did a consult with a plastic surgeon a year ago, just to get ideas on what I'd have done and what to expect. At the time, I was of the mind that I'd love to have small breasts for once. I mean, I've been a C-D cup (up to a DD for most of my adult life) since grade school. So I was thinking about how nice it would be to wear all of those tops that I normally spill out of, and how nice it would be to have a wrap top look appropriate instead of being borderline inappropriate.

The doc said something that really rang true to me. If you've had large breasts for most of your life, it's very likely that you have incorporated them into your own personal feminine ideal. That they could be part of how you view your own femininity, and that being smaller breasted might make you feel insecure or somehow lacking in something you've taken for granted most of your life. This is NOT to say that big breasts are the feminine ideal or that small breasts aren't appealing! But if, like me, you've been toting big ones around your entire life and suddenly decide to stay a B cup, you might feel dissatisfied later on.

I can honestly say that now that I'm pregnant and sporting my previous busty glory of a DD/DDD, that in my case, he was ABSOLUTELY correct. I now know that when I have my implants done that I will go with my D or DD cup.

And he said the exact same thing to me about size, too. He said that he's never had a woman come back and complain that they were too big. More often women are sad when the swelling goes down or sad that they didn't choose the bigger size that they considered.

Just something to think on. Hopefully the OP's surgeon will allow time to experiment! The surgeon I saw had me wear two sports bras and play with some sizers, just to see what I thought.

Totally agree I am a 38D cup already thinking about implants and I have not been sleeved as of yet.

Don't go too big. I want to get smaller implants myself. They look more natural. I am hoping to get my implants changed next year.

If/when i get back to my weight in my 20's, I want to go back as a C. They fit me best. D's are just too big for a small body structure.

What about trying on bras in C, D and DD cups. Stuff them like a high schooler and try on different clothes and see how you feel about your looks. I think you can also try some of the "cup size enhancers" in the lingerie departments in the bras too.

Even when I was a size 4, I was a nice D cup - anything bigger would have been too much. A "full" C would have probably been fine too.

Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
