buforu21 33 Posted October 15, 2012 Weighed in at 197 this morning! I'm one week shy of my three month mark and I feel great! Some progress... I actually don't know my starting pant size because I wore sweats the final year before getting sleeved, I didn't wear jeans for probably the better part of two years because I was so ashamed! But the biggest pair I have in my possession is a stretchy pair of 18 pants, but I was at least a 20 Now I'm wearing a size 16 comfortably, with room to spare Again, with shirts the highest I have is XXL because for the last year up until surgery I wore oversized tee shirts and huge hoodies Now I'm wearing between a XL/L, depending on what brand it is It makes me sad to realize I wore the same stuff for a whole year! And sometimes I do get discouraged because I see that with 60 pounds gone I've only changed one shirt and pant size...but then I remember that these new sizes are actual clothes such as jeans and nice blouses, where as before it was sweats and hoodies So today I'm proud of myself, I'm becoming more and more comfortable each day and I know without the sleeve it wouldn't have been possible! I love my sleeve and I am finally experiencing life instead of watching it pass me by plagued by fear! I think me not being so critical of myself might even be an NSV for me lol! 6 Pookeyism, ProudGrammy, jazzeeja and 3 others reacted to this

I guess I'm just impatient. My weight loss seems to be slowing down and I compare myself to others which I shouldn't do! Reaching Onderland will be a happy day for me!! My goal is to reach before Christmas... but not sure that will happen.
