Lotion For Skin Toning...

Recommended Posts

I was reading in another thread that keeping your skin well-moisturized can possibly help lessen (not prevent) sagging skin. I'm all for trying anything to help - especially something that simple. I'm still pre-op but I'd like to get started with hydrating my skin now so it can be in the best shape possible for my post-surgery life.

Does anyone have any lotion/cream recommendations? Anything that you think worked really well for you?

Thanks!

The absolute best way to keep your skin moisturized is to keep hydrated. Drink lots of Water. As far as lotions my wife swears by maderma. I use utterly smooth/utter cream.

Try getting a cream with collagen. vaseline has one and so does St Ives. (Sp?). They are found in drug stores and are reasonably cheap. Lather it on all over. It will help temporarily prevent from sagging which might help stop the creation of more stretch marks.

And like OT said, drink, drink, drink. You must stay hydrated.

Anything with collagen. I use st ives skin renewing for my body and st ives timeless for my face. Both are inexpensive and have collagen elastin.

At first I didn't want to respond to this thread because I think that creams, potions, etc. do not help with skin sagging, moisturizing yes but tightening no. The only way to tighten skin (My opinion) is weight lifting and exercise. All other fixes are only short term. Good luck to you either way and if it makes you feel better or you think it is working for you then it works. :D:lol:

Meme, if people have really dry skin like me, lotions really do help. Granted, they are temporary fixes. And they do make the skin feel better and softer and sexier when glowing. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
