Recommended Posts

There is nothing wrong with Chike. it's good. the orange cream is really good. It's spendy though.

I like Matrix Orange cream just as well' date=' for 2 carbs. It's around 45 for 5 lbs. It's a good deal.[/quote']

Thanks for the reply!!!

Ginger helps my nausea. I either cut up fresh ginger into tiny pieces and swallow them with Water or I drink ginger tea. I have otherwise found Protein Drinks like Pure Protein to be too sweet and thick. I like WonderSlim protein drinks particularly because they are aspartame, soy, and dairy free.

I just tried the Syntrax Nectar Oreo ....WOW! I just got a sample pack to see what I thought of it and let me tell you it had a very nice, milky, Oreo flavor to it, especially in the first few sips.

If you like the Syntrax Nectar Oreo, you'd like the Syntrax matrix Mint cookie ( if you like mint and chocolate) it's really good!

Is the Syntrax Oreo gluten free?

I don't think so as both the Syntrax Cookies and creme matrix product and the double cookie nectar product only claim aspartame free. Usually products are fairly obvious in their labeling when they are Gluton free.

I still live on EASAdvantage shakes from Walmart. These were suggested by my nut. I don't like the Atkins shakes. I'm too lazy for the powders. I also eat a Quest Protein Bar every day. A cousin had a bypass surgery a year ago and his nut suggested them. I talked with my nut and Dr. They both said they were good Protein sources.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
