Wecanbeheroes 0 Posted October 4, 2006 Hi Everyone. Im due to be banded soon (17.10) and went for my pre-op assessment today. I'm feeling excited and nervous - this procedure is not that common yet in the UK, and I dont know ANYONE personally who's had it done. So Im hoping you guys will be able to help me on my way !(please?). I have to go on a Fat Free diet from now until the op - any good recipies / ideas that may help me with this? I'm enjoying looking around the site, and am picking up stuff as I go, so hopefully I'll be a seasoned pro before I know it. Take care Julie
*susan* 1,709 Posted October 5, 2006 Hi Julie and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on your decision to get banded. I suggest checking out the food forum. There are stickies at the top for every stage of banding. We also have a reciepe forum that you may enjoy.
JulieNYC 4 Posted October 5, 2006 Hi Julie, Yes, definitely check out the food forums. Just as a teaser though, my favorite fat free item is fat free black Beans with salsa and fat free sour cream with a little fat free cheese on top. It's good for the mushy stage too. YUM! You're going to do great. Congratulations on making the decision to get banded.
