The procedure it self appears to have gone well. But I cannot keep any liquids down, every time I take a sip of anything I feel it bubbling around in my chest & tummy area - eventual end up throwing it up. So now I'm back to nothing but the iv only. My nurse said I may be here another day cause they can't release me till they know I can keep down the liquids.

I still have not passed gas, but I've been burping all over the place. I take a walk after I use the restroom, hoping to get the air moving.

Please keep me in your prayers

I love God and I love to pray! We all have made a life changing decision to improve our quality and quantity of life. It took a lot of faith to get to this point. Let's lift up each other daily in prayer. Unity in prayer causes miracles.

Thank you - it was so difficult to get here :/ but I'm here Nov 7 surgery. I'm nervous & praying too. Lord bless you

I too believe in the power of prayer. When I was having doubts about surgery, I put it all in prayer and asked for His guidance. Everything worked out and I had my surgery on Oct. 11. Before my surgery, my surgeon stopped in to see me and asked if it would be okay if he prayed with me. I went into the OR knowing I was doing the right thing at the right place and with the right surgeon. God is good. We are so blessed.

It's natural to be nervous but know that God is control. It's been 10 months since I've had surgery and God has been faithful all the way. I declare healing and speedy recover to all of you; in Jesus name.

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord' date='

the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—

the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;

8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going[/quote']

Amen! Thanks Kadive! I needed to hear that scripture!

I am having Bariatric Surgery ,( the "Sadi") I need prayer that my surgeon will be able to do this surgery on me because I have alot of adhesions and have lost some of my small intestines yrs ago because of something I went through. I ask that my body lines up enough for everything to fall into place. I know there is power in prayer. And God can make things happen. I ask this in Jesus' Precious Name Amen. Thank You

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
