lovex5 25 Posted October 13, 2012 How are you guys overcoming fear? Everyone i know having surgery coming up is so excited and i'm making myself sick with anxiety. I have been researching wls for over 3yr off and on. I finally got up the nerve to pursue lapband in dec but really wanted sleeve. Long story short i'm having surgery on the 25. I feel blessed with this opportunity and know i need this but i am terrified! I have had 3 other surgeries before and one of them was very dangerous and i was pregnant at the time. I recall being anxious but this seems worse than this. Is anyone else this scared? Any tips?
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted October 13, 2012 Yes, I was very very scared. I was scared of complications but I think what I was really scared of was "Failing" again. This is a serious undertaking and will change your life. I think it is normal and quite sane to have some anxiety about it all! 1 lovex5 reacted to this

monique 90 Posted October 14, 2012 Meditate on the word of God. Start with Philipians 4:6-7. Hope this helps. Continue to be blessed:-) 5 LovelyPea, imlosingit, cmayfield85 and 2 others reacted to this
