I am a week away from being 5 months out. I was at an all time high last winter of 225 size 20 sometimes 22 pants. I lost 8 lbs before I started my presurgery liquid diet. I am currently 161 and wearing a size 12 pants. Just bought a size 10 pair that I could wear but I shouldn't yet because no one wants to see a 57 year old in pants that tight. LOL Another 5 or 10 lbs and they will be fine. Twenty six lbs to goal. Best decision I have made in a long time.

7 months out... 105-106 lbs! And am in my dream size of an 8!!!!! Boo yeah! I started at 254 and am 150 (ish) now.

Ok first' date=' let's not compare. Everyone's journey is so different than the next person's. But kudos to y'all - keep it up guys! WE CAN DO IT!

I have worked my butt off (almost literally lol). Wanna see how? Come join my fitness pal and add me as a friend - I share my eating diary and workout journals and if you will do the same, I'm open with trying to make suggestions (I am not a medical professional nor an expert, but would only help if I could to encourage you, change it up, challenge you to be better). Or you can just see what I'm doing. I pray I continue to find the strength/be able to be successful.... just know one thing, if I can do this.... YOU certainly CAN DO IT TOO!

Best of luck always to y'all! xx[/quote']

Please add me!! I can't figure out how to add anyone... My user name is YaMandaJoy82

Sleeved 9/4 & down 26.6 lbs last I checked. I weigh daily but don't freak if the scale hasn't moved, or has moved up slightly, as I know weight fluctuates. I also can tell by the way clothes fit from day to day.

Sleeved 9/4 and down 33 lbs. Feeling great, eating right, working out and no longer smoking. So happy I made the decision.

Just realized I didn't give my stats... I am 5'5" and I weighed 271 prior to my 2 week pre-op diet, 256 on the day of surgery (09/24/12), and I am currently 240.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
