A little lose skin on my arms and on my belly, but I am only just under 3 months post op (will be 3 months on the 18th) my stomach already was in bad shape from 3 pregnancies and all my excess weight...so I will almost certainly need skin removal there once I meet goal, just because there is not good skin there to elasticize.

Thanks fireball! I walk the track with my friend while my son has football practice 3 nights a week' date=' and go to the gym and ride a bike 5 miles 2 other nights a week. I usually only walk 1.5 - 2 miles.

Before I go into my meals, my surgeon is very lenient. I do not count carbs or fat. I try to get Protein first but if I want a bite or two of a potato...well then that is what I do. Everything in moderation for me. This is not a diet as far as I am concerned. It is about a new, healthier me.

Normal day

B- One egg with a thin slice of some kind of white lower fat cheese

L- 8 or so turkey pepperoni a couple squares of some kind of fruit and 3 or 4 baby carrots.

S- Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of granola for crunch.

D- usually chicken, fish or Laura's lean beef incorporated into something. As a side I usually have a bite or two of cottage cheese, a few bites of salad or a veggie.

I drink one Powerade zero (32 oz), a 6 oz glass of skim milk, a 24 oz bottle of Water and a real caffeinated coffee with bad for you Creamer but no extra sugar.

Lastly, my hubby wakes up at 3:00am for work and I get up and drink 1/2 of a premier Protein shake. I do this for 15 extra grams of Protein and because any shake makes my stomach hurt. Doing it this way, I am fast asleep again and don't notice the rumbles.[/quote']

Great!!! You are an inspiration!! I'm the same starting weight as you and you give me courage to keep up the work for amazing results like yours.

Excellent -you got this

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
