barbi1281 112 Posted October 12, 2012 That's awesome to see! You started at about the same BMI as me so I hope I do as well as you. I'm going on a cruise in late February and I'd love to be an 8 by then! My surgery is this Tuesday. 3 IrishEyes, mike010906 and hm734 reacted to this
firebelle10 80 Posted October 12, 2012 Totally awesome!!! What kind of exercise are you doing? Also can you give me an idea ons typical days meals for you?
hm734 228 Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks fireball! I walk the track with my friend while my son has football practice 3 nights a week, and go to the gym and ride a bike 5 miles 2 other nights a week. I usually only walk 1.5 - 2 miles. Before I go into my meals, my surgeon is very lenient. I do not count carbs or fat. I try to get Protein first but if I want a bite or two of a potato...well then that is what I do. Everything in moderation for me. This is not a diet as far as I am concerned. It is about a new, healthier me. Normal day B- One egg with a thin slice of some kind of white lower fat cheese L- 8 or so turkey pepperoni a couple squares of some kind of fruit and 3 or 4 baby carrots. S- Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of granola for crunch. D- usually chicken, fish or Laura's lean beef incorporated into something. As a side I usually have a bite or two of cottage cheese, a few bites of salad or a veggie. I drink one Powerade zero (32 oz), a 6 oz glass of skim milk, a 24 oz bottle of Water and a real caffeinated coffee with bad for you Creamer but no extra sugar. Lastly, my hubby wakes up at 3:00am for work and I get up and drink 1/2 of a premier Protein shake. I do this for 15 extra grams of Protein and because any shake makes my stomach hurt. Doing it this way, I am fast asleep again and don't notice the rumbles. 3 Need-a-Sleeve, michelleooo513 and funkeechiggen reacted to this

I'm in the exploration stage (consultation on Thursday), and the idea of chugging Protein shakes makes me sad. They make me feel sick now; I can't imagine how they'll make me feel with a smaller stomach. However, I've always made a practice of taking Vitamins and supplements at bedtime to sleep through the queasies. What a super idea to do the same with protein shakes!
