4ALongerLife 329 Posted October 12, 2012 What you are feeling is totally normal. But you will be FINE! Do yourself a favor now... take loads of pictures of yourself NOW. Write lists of why you want to lose weight, what you can't do now because of your weight, take your measurements and weigh yourself and write it down. Then have the surgery and have that to compare. It's amazing what this tool does for you. I've lost 105 lbs. in 7 months. Clothes shopping is amazing now. I've never been a size 8 before in my life and I wanted that, I wanted better health and to beat the odds that plays in my genetic pool. It's worth the surgery to me. Keep that in mind. It's not the easiest journey, I won't lie (at least mine hasn't been) but it's been totally worth it. And I know God is watching out for me. Best of luck to you - always. YOU CAN DO THIS! 1 imlosingit reacted to this
sheila2050 17 Posted October 12, 2012 It's a chance for a different life. In that, it's really a miracle. A good time to be alive. 1 imlosingit reacted to this
wdrake_98 22 Posted October 12, 2012 I agree with AFormerlife, take lots of pictures. I remember going to Walmart at 2 in the morning before my lap band surgery to find a camera that had a timer to take pictures of myself. If you like to read, find something nice and long to read. 1 imlosingit reacted to this

Dooter 1,457 Posted October 12, 2012 Oh boy...I remember that feeling. I prayed and prayed and prayed. That's all I can say to do. It's very exciting but a little scary too. Just try to stay busy until it's time. You'll do great and it'll be over before you know it, and you'll blink and you'll have lost 20 pounds!
